Paris, France

During our time at Oxford, we took trips almost every weekend.  The Peterson favorite was Paris.  We tried to book a weekend stay in Paris, but quickly found that it was RIDICULOUSLY expensive.  So instead, we found a Hop On Hop Off tour that left London at the crack of dawn, took the chunnel from London to Paris, then we would be in Paris for about 8 hours with unlimited access to the tour bus that would take you to all the major sites.  If you can't tell, it was a really time-intensive trip.

We left Oxford before the crack of dawn (maybe 3 am or so?) to walk to the bus station to take us to London.  We were all looking forward to sleeping on the bus, but some other bus travelers had different plans ("I ain't got no money") and the sun rises at 4 am in England, so it was too bright to sleep anyway.  We finally get to London after getting no sleep, and rush to the train station so we don't miss our ride.  The lady checking us into the train takes her sweeeeeet loooooong time to check us in, while the Americans are panicking.  Apparently, we stressed for no reason because Europeans don't give a hoot about punctuality.  A few hours later, we finally get to the City of Romance!

Needless to say, we had a GREAT time, ate great food, had great desserts, and came home exhausted.
